Itinerary Details

Arrive at the Delhi airport, meet our tour representative who helps in an assisted transfer to a luxury hotel of Delhi. Complete the check-in formalities and settle in your rooms. The rest of the day is free for leisure, you can indulge in the activities of your interest. You can visit the popular markets of Delhi for collecting memorabilia and binge on Delhi's street food. The capital city of India boasts of being the melting out of the country's politics and the potpourri of different cultures. The landscape of this city is dotted with several man-made wonders that were built by its ruling dynasties.

Return to the hotel in the evening and have a sumptuous dinner. Stay overnight at the hotel in Delhi.

On the second day 2 of the tour, explore the main tourist attractions of Delhi including Laxmi Narayan Temple- this Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Laxminarayan (Lord Vishnu and his consort Goddess Parvati), was constructed in the year 1933 and is also known as Birla Temple; the India Gate- Initially known as All India War Memorial, it consists of the name of soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the Afghan war that took place in 1919; the Parliament House- this circular colonnaded building is an important one in the city, comprising of various committee rooms, ministerial offices and a huge well-stocked library and Jama Masjid- India's largest mosque, it is also known as Masjid-i Jah?n-Num?.

The other attractions are UNESCO World Heritage Site of Delhi- the Qutab Minar Complex- consisting of several monuments including the very important Qutub Minar and other attractions like ruins of Lal Kot and Quila-Rai-Pithora-the city of Prithviraj Chauhan, the Red Fort- the seat of Mughal Emperor of India till the year 1857, it comprises of a number of structures such as Mumtaz Mahal, Rang Mahal, Khas Mala, Diwan-i-am, Diwan-e-Khas, Moti Masjid, etc. and the Humayun's Tomb- erected in the year 1570, this Mughal architecture is the tomb of the second Mughal Emperor of India-Humayun.

On day 3, post breakfast, begin driving towards your next destination, Rishikesh. Arrive in Rishikesh in the afternoon. Post breakfast on day 11, get transferred to Agra by road. En route, halt at the Mughal architectural masterpiece called Sikandra: the Tomb of Emperor Akbar the Great. Taking inspiration from the Tartary tradition, he commissioned the construction of the tomb during his lifetime. The construction of the tomb started around 1600 and after Akbar's death, the construction was completed during 1606-1613, by Jahangir, his son. On reaching Agra, check-in your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure and you can partake in the activities of your interest. The Mughal city of Agra lies on the banks of River Yamuna. The city is dotted with several man-made wonders and these architectural gems allure tourists from all around the globe.

The first half of the day is for visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Agra. Commissioned in the 16th century, this colossal structure was started by Emperor Akbar and was completed by Shah Jahan with certain additions from Aurangzeb too. While the red sandstone portions of the fort are from Akbar, the white marble additions are from Shah Jahan. The fort complex consists of several structures such as Diwan-e-am, Diwan-e-Khas, Sheesh Mahal, and Jahangir Palace, palaces of the wives of Akbar including Jodha Bai, Palace of Prince Salim, Treasury rooms, and a few mosques including Moti Masjid and Nagina Masjid, Khas Mahal and so on.

The next visit is the world-renowned Taj Mahal, a World Wonder, constructed by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. The construction of this white marble mausoleum was started in the year 1632 and took 22 years to get completed. The walls of this architectural gem are encrusted with precious and semi-precious stones.

Thereafter, get transferred to the Delhi International Airport to board the flight for your onward journey.
