En route, you will also traverse two lovely villages, Durbuk, a quaint village in Ladakh and Tangtse which is home to colorful Tangste Gompa. Both these villages are located in the Changthang region.

On arrival at the lake, you can check in at the campsite nearby.

After waking up to a beautiful morning, eat breakfast at the campsite and leave for an early morning drive to Tso Moriri (lake). This beautiful lake is at a distance of some 240 kilometers from Pangong Lake. The lake is located at the height of 4200 meters.

To get to the Tso Moriri, you have to cross Mahe Bridge from where you get a sight of the dramatic landscape and the Indus River. While at the lake, keep your eyes open to see the Himalayan marmot species. These animals inhabit the alpine grasslands of the Himalayas. Tso Moriri is also a great nesting hotspot for many migratory birds. You can easily spot the Brahmin Duck, black-necked cranes, bar-headed goose and more.

On arrival at the Tso-Moriri, you can check-in at the camp near the lake and spend the night under the stars.

Day 7 of your Ladakh trip takes you to Leh via Tso Kar. En route, you will stop and visit Puga Geo-Thermal Gas Spring and Nomadic Rebo Tents at Polo-Kongka Pass.

After driving further, you will reach Tso Kar and stop for a while. This saltwater lake is known for its massive size and is also said to be quite deep as compared to other lakes in Ladakh. Since it is a high-altitude lake, it can get very cold here with temperatures dropping to -40 degrees. The lake is overshadowed by two massive mountains giving an ideal photo opportunity. There is also a monastery located around this wetland area, Thukje village.

After the sightseeing, you can head towards Leh. On arrival, check-in at the hotel and prepare for an overnight stay.

Today, you begin your trip by visiting Ulley Resort from Leh. Mid-way, you will witness a massive statue of Maitreya Buddha located in the Likir Monastery. This Gompa or Monastery is a well-known tourist spot in Ladakh. It also has a museum that contains many interesting relics of Buddhism and ancient items.

Next, you will also explore 1000-year-old murals inside the Alchi Monastery. It is here you get to see some of the best Buddhist miniature paintings. An interesting feature of this Monastery is that it is located on the edge of a cliff. This monastery is one of the oldest in the region and it possesses two prominent temples inside the complex namely, Lotsabha Lakhang and Lakhang Soma.

After exploring, proceed towards Ulley Resort. On arrival, check in at the resort and relax for the day. Later, dinner will be served followed by an overnight stay.

On your way, you will stop to visit Spituk Monastery. Next, you will visit Magnetic Hill. Amongst the many places to visit in Ladakh, Magnetic Hill is an unusual attraction. The vehicles that run on the hill appear to roll uphill when they are rolling downhill. This optical illusion is due to the layout of the area. The surrounding mountain slopes around the road create the appearance of a hill.

You will also be visiting the Military Hall of Fame which is run by the military. It is a great place to come to check out the weapons, explore the history exhibits and also take home souvenirs from the in-house shop.

After the short stoppage, continue your drive to Leh and on arrival, check-in at the hotel.
